Also in this year we were at the annual “CoST surgery course”, with a focus at the short-stem prosteheses, representing our Spiron®-prosthesis.

Following we added the illustration of the surgical technique of Spiron® by Dr. B. Birkenhauer:

At the event were renowned speakers hold comprehensive talks on under different short-stems and answer in subsequent discussion, emerging questions or comments.
To Spiron®-prosthesis recently evaluated the results of long-term observation were presented. This is for a period of 12 years, starting with the initial implantation in 2001.

After a illustration of the surgical technique on artificial bone, various surgical techniques have been at the next workshop on human, thiel fixed “Total preparations” demonstrates exchanged knowledge with interested parties and users and existing know-how, both in theory, as established in the practical range .

We thank Dr. Björn Birkenhauer both for the evaluation and presentation of the long-term results as well as for the subsequent implementation of workshops on preparation. We also thank all the participants who have given us the opportunity to introduce the prosthesis and the surgical technique involved.
