Modular Simplicity
BIOLOX®OPTION System ball heads are made from wear-resistant BIOLOX®delta advanced ceramics and are available in diameters of 28 mm, 32 mm, 36 mm, 40 mm*, 44 mm* and 48 mm*.
The titanium sleeves are made with the TiAl6V4 titanium alloy, which has proven itself through years of use. There are four neck lengths: S, M, L and XL. The neck-free design allows for a full range of movement. The ball heads and titanium sleeves are attached using the proven taper connection system. The BIOLOX®OPTION System is available in these sizes.
Material
BIOLOX®OPTION ball heads are made from BIOLOX®delta, an alumina matrix composite ceramic that is bioinert, biocompatible, wear-resistant and thus helps avoid allergic reactions.
Combining Replacement Components
During preoperative planning it is essential to verify the compatibility of the taper on the in situ stem to ensure it is compatible with the taper angle of the adapter. BIOLOX®OPTION ball heads made from BIOLOX®delta can be combined with BIOLOX®forte or BIOLOX®delta inserts or polyethylene and highly cross-linked polyethylene inserts as wear partners.
